Nice to see biopowered back up and running … well done Tony!
-
Echo that. Well done Tony and all those who assisted.
-
peekaboo :-)
-
Yes great to see this page again hope everyone's families are good
-
Sorry it took so long. Acroprops and covid-19 got in the way. Now I've got an extra bedroom and a full 6yd skip that can't be collected!
Biopowered no longer resides on Linux PC at home (that was next to a now-removed wall) - that machine wouldn't boot up again afer being powered off. But the drives were fine. Now it's on a cheap vhost with some of my other sites.
-
Just like the pheonix it rises again, nice one Tony.
Did you see that Rob offered a server over on VOD?
-
Yes, which was a kind offer for sure. For me it's not the cost of hosting (I already had this cheap shared host for other, simple sites) but the cost in time figuring out how to get it all correctly configured. I'll see if I can get admin access for admin here on the vhost too, as I don't want to be solely responsible for backups/maintenance.

Here I am, all logged in and happy to be back.
Well done to those that did it and please stay safe everyone.
-
Back in okay.
I'll try and post more now, instead of just lurking.
-
Hows yers all doing out there, keeping safe I hope. Nice to be back, well done Tony.
-
I have to clear my cache every time before I can logon.
-
Good to see the site back online, thanks.
Is there a way to have the wiki & tools pages hosted somewhere separate so that should we lose the site they will always be available?
-
My Mrs has managed to get me back on. Apparently she ticked one of the un ticked boxes in the advanced settings re cookies and caches
-
Well done Tony glad to be back.
-
Back again.
-
Was off, on off on off then I've realised the special technique.
When I first get onto the forum, before I touch anything else (even though I'm logged in) I have to log out, then log in again, then it works.
-
Ah, I can login ok on the laptop using Linux without needing to clear any cookies ... so why the difference?
-
I logged in after 2nd attempt this morning, but I couldn't login last night and I tried several times.
-
I'm not any problems logging, I have change how I do it thought.

Robert is your mothers brother.
-
Bingo, signed in on the desk top.
I've been clearing cookies via windows. This time I cleared cookies via the browser (MS Edge) and it worked.
-
There's something odd going on, but I don't know what...
Beginning to think I should install the forum software from fresh and then apply all the extensions we've added over the years.

Please don't alter things too much Tony. I've only just got used to my 'cock-eyed' way of logging on. lol
-
Logged on a couple of days ago to post that logging on seemed to be working ok and when I clicked "Post" it logged me out!
Let's see if it happens again …
-
Woohoo ... it works!
Whatever you've done Tony, well done!

I have to log in the same way. When I leave it logged in and return later it has gone to “forbidden” but let’s me log in again from the wiki. This is on an iPad.

Any way to add a 'stay logged in' button?

I've been trying to figure out why it's so stupid for days.
The cookie name in Settings.php matches the one in the forum GUI config.
I've turned on local storage of cookies and enabled database driven sessions. It seems to be better. Might help, who knows?
-
I'm going to go out on a limb and tempt fate, but logins seem to be fixed now.
-
It does indeed seem to be fixed now, thanks.
Is there a way the wiki pages & no titration calculator could be posted somewhere else in addition to on this site so they would preserved in the event we were ever to lose biopowered?
-
With the scripts, they are just JavaScript so easy to put wherever.
The wiki, maybe we can dump all pages to PDF or something?
-
It would be a shame to ever lose the convenience of the no titration calculator & the knowledge & experience found within the wiki pages.
