Forum upgraded from 2.0.11 to 2.0.15 without many issues.
Wiki major upgrade from 1.20.2 to 1.31 LTS. This also required upgrading PHP to >= 7.0 and performing a database conversion.
A side effect of this is that the Headline skin I'd previously made for the wiki is no longer compatible, so the Wiki is back on "Vector" skin.
If anyone has any particularly strong feelings on the wiki skin, feel free to peruse https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Category:All_skins and see if any leap out.
Regarding logging in to edit the wiki - we used to use this extension:
https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:SMF/Users_Integration
...which formed an auth bridge between the forum and the wiki - allowing forum users access to the wiki for editting. Unfortunately that auth bridge no longer works with the later versions of MediaWiki. I will take another look at it later, but I suspect we may have to resort enabling separate wiki registration, or just creating an "editors" account and sharing out the password to anyone that wants to make changes.

I can't say that any of the skins which have screen shots are a patch on the one you made … many seem darn right garish!
With regard to logging on to the wiki, I don't think it's any hardship having a separate login. If it helps keeps things more standard so we don't have a reoccurrence of current issues, so much the better.
