just started reading a fascinating book about liquid rocket fuel development. its been out of print for years,but i have found a pirate copy. not going to post a link as it may jeopardise the forum owner, so i will just give the author and title. if you thought playing with ASM was a bit dangerous wait till you find out what these guys where doing! i found it purely by chance while looking for something totally unrelated,as you do. when you download you will have to save it in acrobat as the formatting is strange in google due to the OCR. reads fine in acrobat.
ignition! by john d clarke
well worth a read . funny too.

Ha ha, only a few pages in, but it's starting to look like essential reading for any self respecting Alchemist.
See how the professional loony toons did it way back then.
Short bit from the preface.....
"Now it is clear that anyone working with rocket fuels is outstand-
ingly mad . I don't mean garden-variety crazy or a merely raving luna-
tic. I mean a record-shattering exponent of far-out insanity.
There are, after all, some chemicals that explode shatteringly, some
that flame ravenously, some that corrode hellishly, some that poison
sneakily, and some that stink stenchily. As far as I know, though, only
liquid rocket fuels have all these delightful properties combined into
one delectable whole. " ::)

Funny that, the text is fine for me.
I'm using something called Foxit reader, think it was a free download.
