+1 for led lenser.
I've had one for the past 4 years that has lived in a boiler suit pocket. It's been around the world twice, dropped in all sorts of liquids - most of them unpleasant. Subject to heat (+55) and cold (-20). The black anodising has all but come off, but the torch itself still works just great.
I have had to clean the battery contacts though. That might be more to do with the way I treat mine rather than the product. :o

brilliant.
this will live on the dashboard and be used in few second bursts looking for the right house number in the dark.
in theory ;D

I've got a Fenix E01, a tiny little key ring torch. If I was looking for something bigger, I would definitely go with Fenix, myself. I'm very impressed with it, although I couldn't say if it's any better than the Lenser.
There are whole forums dedicated to LED torches, if you really want to twist your self up with information paralysis........

thats why i asked on here mate. three ways of measuring output, god knows how they arrive at the ccd numbers.
and people who get excited by torches......
led lenser have a uk phone line, so i can bug them first.

i thought we were bad....

Sad, innit?
Quite addictive though, once you get into it.
Not that I'm heavily into it, but mostly coz I'm pretty well torched up anyway, and can't afford the mega bright LEDs.

One small LED numberplate light, that will run forever on a charge, and the 55w Halogen, that gave mega light, but only for about an hour.
I've since replaced the Halogen with one of these.

I've stuck three of them on my truck too. Very pleased with them.
