I got an IBC from trinity a couple of weeks ago, thought I would try reclaimed for a change. Very, very Strong smell of acetone but seems to react OK (but I use virgin for the 10/90's)

I got some of that a while back from Snippy. It had a very very pale blue colour too it, only really visible when in quite a large container and, as you say smelled really strongly of acetone or ketone or something similar, couldn't quite work out what

But, it did react perfectly well, the same as virgin methanol

What saving is to be had from using recycled methanol instead of virgin?
