Title: Dealing directly with the factory - centrifuges
Post by: nathanrobo on June 09, 2015, 04:38:25 PM
Some of you might remember me, from a while back??

Besides making and using bio for a few years, I also imported high speed centrifuges directly from the manufacturer, added fitting kits and pumps and sold them on Ebay.

Well, I gave it all in a while ago, but spoke to the manufacturer today (BAPL), who make the best product, dynamically balanced, all sizes including the invert models and will ship with viton seals.  Their sales manager Paul is a really nice guy and I asked him if he'd be willing to supply forum members directly - as there are now limited options in the UK to source.  I'm guessing by the number of requests that I still get that their are plenty out there who want to centrifuge.

Anyway he'd be happy work on a group buy basis from time to time.  If this is of interest to members, could you send me a pm or add to the thread and I can send you Paul's details.

I'd certainly be interested in exploring the possibility, but from your experience how practical were they at removing water and finally polishing bio.

I only ever used my bowl centrifuge on grotty veg.  It was brilliant at removing fat and water but very slow.

Thanks for that Nathan, you are a gent.
I am in the market for one, so would appreciate the details. I looked at the one you have on ebay but it is too large for my pump. (4.3lpm) Many thanks, Dave.

Gents

Paul's email address is: paul@baplpune.in

Ideally it would be useful for someone to coordinate.  Happy to give advice etc. where needed.

The 4.6litre pump will run an LC20 / LC25 or LC35.

I still have a couple of pumps and hose assemblies etc.  But Paul, I'm sure could sort out a complete kit with pump and fittings too.
