Labour candidate doing the door to door, well, the conversation was going OK (I'm all for reducing the cost of higher education) until discussing the financial crisis and Obama propping up GM - of course he brought up how great the Labour scrappage scheme was. Not that smart when I've got a half assembled old car on the drive right behind him - it did lead to some putting right on the carbon cost of assembling new cars, and the stupidity of propping up the motor industry with taxpayer's money.
Edit: Might have broken the forum unspoken rule on no political discussion there, but it is car related ;)

Well done, many a good was lost the that ill thought out scheme.
Did you ask him if they would drop the road tax (sorry, road fund license) for running biofuel ?
