Title: Final clearout
Post by: nathanrobo on April 10, 2015, 02:02:34 AM
It's been a while since I posted... I actually hung my boots up last summer (still get a bit of bio from a mate nearby).

I've been clearing out my garage of car parts and bio stuff.  I have about 14 or 15 new strainers (600 / 400 micron) these are the nylon rather than the silk sort, so don't rip.  I also have a few glass centrifuge tubes left.

If you're interested I'm doing deals to clear through.  £10 each per strainer (£100 for the lot) and £15 each for the glass centrifuge tubes (stoppered).

Thanks all :-)

Sorry to hear you've packed up.  What was the reason?

Definitely a shame to lose one of our own.  :( Good luck with selling the bits!

In all this time Nathan didn't do a centrifuge page....shocking! Surprised he didn't write about what he was so passionate about.

I know that I couldn't afford my motoring costs without biodiesel. Just got back from Germany...1500miles door to door on Leicesters finest @30ppl plus the Eurotunnel return @£14...........oh yeah!

Sorry bout the slow response...

I'd love to do a centrifuge page (not sure how to go about it though).

Reason for quitting was kinda two fold.  First I decided to sell the house and turn my shed into a home office (rather than a shed that smelt a little odd) & wanted to get rid of anything that would have the place looking a bit untidy.  And last year I committed to working with a company to get it ready for an exit.  This commitment meant about 60 hours per week which didn't leave a lot of time for family, yet alone making fuel.  So something had to give.

The work thing didn't work out, but by this time I had given away my collection and gotten out of the swing of things.  Plus I'm selling my 100 series Landcruiser which was the guzzler, I still have an E320CDI which is a bit better on fuel and a petrol Fiat 500 which is pretty economical and some classic cars which are also petrol.

That said, I really enjoyed making fuel, beating the system for a change, and the odd bit of experimentation :-)  Nice to be on a forum where folk help each other out too  :) And even though I haven't made fuel for a while, I still read the odd thread - don't think that will change.
