Probably not the right time to go into graphic detail, but a guy who worked with my Brother had a real bad argument with a very big bench saw, early last year, I think it was.
Six months later, and he's hardly got a problem.
Compared to what it was even five years ago, re attachment has come on leaps and bounds.
For some reason, I know a worrying amount of people with bits missing. Not all of them were born like it........

Worst nightmare for many of us.  So easy to take tools like that for granted and one innocuous slip...  gives me a cold shiver just thinking about it.

Hope he recovers well, no-one wants to go through that.

I damn nearly lost two fingers to an angle grinder. I'm so careful now.

Hope he gets better soon.

Talked to Paul on the phone this afternoon and he has been to the hand
clinic for a check the fingers are coming on ok and the thumb is improving.

The top thumb joint is bugged and the surgeon fused it together when it
was reattached.

Its going to be about six months before he can drive again.

Paul phoned me to night and is very grateful for all the posts of encouragement
and best wishes.

It is not helping that he had an operation on his left shoulder joint
and he is supposed to be doing exercisers with it.

Just how with his hand held up to head level I do not know.
