What percentage of bio should i be obtaining from wvo that to get a clear 3/27 pass am using 20grs of Kohl and 18% methanol?

Just scanning some old posts and noticed there was no reply to this one, so here are my thoughts.
As the accepted base for KOH is about the 8gms/litre mark, using 20gms/litre means the titration of the oil would be around the 12 level. 50% of this value will be FFA%, so 6% will be lost immediately to neutralisation. Then there is the resultant water to consider which is a bit of an unknown as it depends very much on how far the reaction had progressed before the 1st reaction glycerol was removed.
So this is a guess, 85%

My most recent batches have seen a 97% yield. More than happy with that.

I get about the same, but for those with high titrating oils the 2 stage base process can be a problem.
BTW I haven't forgotten the pictures on the other thread, the mrs takes the photo's and for one reason or another I haven't been in the good books for the last couple of days!

Wow, good going! How do you manage to limit it to a couple of days?
