Anybody got a close up of how one is wired up?, i have six terminals, looks like 3 on each side? marked P21, 23 & 22 and 11P, 13 & 12

I think they are all different.
Put a meter on pairs of terminals and give it a blow.
-
I seem to remember that there are two sets of contacts, one coming on before the other. If you blow gently, you will hear two clicks, as the pressure increases. Not that I've actually wired one up. I used to have a fetish for sticking things in my mouth and sucking or blowing them.............
(Ever sucked a CB power pack plug?)
-
Sucking a CB power plug is probably better than sucking the end of the antenna cable whilst transmitting, especially if you happen to have a burner between the radio and the antenna
My daugher tried putting a laptop DC plug in her mouth once, she rapidly decided that 18.5V DC was not something that she wanted in her mouth and, after lots of tears, stated that she would never do that again
-
my memory is a little shakey...
but the bottom 2 contractors are the power in (you only need to use one of them)
and each one has a matching pair of contacts above it
then the left side is for low pressure, and the right side is for high pressure
normally, the bottom connector is connected to the left contact of it's pair at the top
then when it switches, it switches over to the other contractor of it's pair
you can use the 2 red screws to adjust what pressure it trips at
(it's essentially 2 pressure switches in one)

Do all washing machines have these and what do they do in a washing machine?
-
yes they do. it cuts off the power to the washing machine if there is no water supply
-
Also used to determine fill level, IE open valve on water supply, fill until level is correct or timeout occurs.
On the last washing machine I played with, if you blew hard on the pipe it ran the drain pump, and if you let it go to atmospheric pressure it filled, there was a specific pressure in the middle where the machine just ran (level neither too high or too low).

I was thinking of making a auto cut off fuel filler (wife proof)
I have washing machine people next door to my work might ask if i can pinch one off an old unit.
-
I've asked in washing machine shops before and they've just given me one on the two occasions I have.

These switches only operate on a few mm water gauge, how were you thinking of using it?

Using two pipes one for bio and the other for this gadget.
Make stop on the hoses (only go in so far)
Then when a pumps run it will fill up till it has enough pressure to turn the pump off
