Title: Shiny DIY
Post by: julianf on May 10, 2014, 01:10:22 PM
Its only a prototype, and has errors, but its still shiny.

I had a single offcut of reclaimed oak of uneven thickness.

And, yes, i know its just a box, but i still think its nice enough to show off! : )

Does it help prevent emulsions?

My cnc machine is covered with hardwood shavings now, but i dont think theyll help with your emulsions.

Will anything?

That is very nice Julian, I am guessing its sound equipment?

I will be in touch with you some time as in the near future I would like to build a valve amp thought you could do a nice panel for it.

Bit sketchy on the design at the minute... So many projects so little time! ;D

Its a digital drum machine, but a little more unusual than most.  It can go from the classic warm TR drum hits, through to much more atmospheric  digital scrapes and noise.

Here is a youtube vid (not mine)  -

All sound is from the one machine, just with effects processing, however, that's more musical than it can be.

Ive cut panels for people's outboard kit before (neve clones etc) but, for some reason, never amps.  Ive thought before that i should try and get in on that game, as there are plenty of DIY hifi builders, but its just never happened.

You're pretty damn good at Caravan and boat switch panels  :)
