We need photos throughout the build.

Try and swap the 90° elbows for swept bends as it will increase you flow rate.

They are swept bends, hard to see on photos. am having problems uploading pics. I'm keeping them under 200kb but it tells me an error occurred.

I didn't know that was there. It seems quite a few on the VOD are having trouble too hence the quick guide I posted. Just passing on my knowledge. I hate to see people stuggle when the process is rather simple.

I'd forgotten it was there until I saw your post!  It wasn't linked or indexed anywhere (I blame the gut that put the page together), so I've stuck a link on the main page of the wiki.

Nice Processor!  Looks very neatly done and slim-line with the pump tucked underneath like that.

Wrapped in thermal blanket then 25mm celotex. cut groves every 10cms so that it would curve.
Am thinking about putting castors on it so that i can move it around.
The two 15mm pipes below the pump are vent and metoxide in, i may re-site them.
Might place control panel at the front just below base of processor.

another fan of celotex i see. i am using the same idea on the walls of my yurt. 20cm strips and ally tape to hold it in place. nice build.

They are not what most of us call swept bends,
by swept bend I mean one that's pulled on a bender, far less restrictive.

Thats looking tidy. I'd think about putting the control panel and as much wiring as possible up high so they're out of the way of any spills and leaks that might one day happen.

I dont have a pipe bender, tried with a spring 3 times and kinked it every time time so went for those (slow bends) bought them online, was disappointed when they arrived i thought they would be more swept.

Fitted site tube today put 50lts of water into it and suprise suprise no leaks also added 1 litre of vinegar, i filled it the other day with water (before mounting) and naoh. thought it would neutrlise any acid that might be left.

I also tried the metoxide intake, the venturi drew 3 lts per minute of water with the cubbie on the floor.
Thanks for the tip re tiny pic Julian.

My only comment would be about the bends before and after the pump, there's 3 too many.

I could move the pump to the right and eliminate 2. think i will try then see if venturi draws in more than 3lts per min, I would assume that it will give me a guide.

I always use 28mm from the tank to the pump then 22mm after, never starve the pump.

prolly stating the obvious here and I must admit not read every single word of this, but don't you need a valve at the glyc drop out end pipe?

ok you shoot me down now :)

im not sure but think central heating pumps arnt self priming, so maybe abit hit and miss till you get water fully round, due to height location

My water tank (oil drum)  is outside on a stand, the bottom is above the pump.
I've had it running to test for leaks.
