Post by: Oilybloke on October 31, 2013, 10:27:25 AM
About five years old, has a sticker on the fuel flap that says 'No biodiesel'.

Why?

Cheers!

Bloody 'ell, you mean you still don't know why?

BIO KILLS ENGINES and everything else on the vehicle, obvious innit.

Yep so far this year Bio has broken my stereo, reversing camera and it's letting air into my fuel system somewhere. Not to mention the fact it's taken over 2 sheds in my garden. Dangerous stuff bio.

My bio killed the lift pump and turbo on my mates Pug (I gave him 25l for free to try out!).  Still trying to live that down.

Many thanks for the replies, pretty much my own thoughts too. I only ask as despite one of my colleagues running his 2010 Range Rover Sport on B100, the other with the 5 year old Audi has yet to 'take the plunge'.
Strange, isn't it, how conditioned we are to trusting absolutely the dino fuel? Anything else will wreck your radio, give you arthritis, make you grumpy (apologies Jim!), ruin your wheel bearings......

I'm pretty sure Jim would be grumpy bio or no - but we wouldn't have it any other way!
