As promised here are some pics of my new defuser.

I've used the GL drum vent design but flow the liquid through the 15mm T'd off feed pipe into the 22mm,
the 15mm that goes through the 22mm is for fixing to the dome to via a tank connector underneath.
The end of the 22mm is belled out so it spreads the bio over the dome.
The dome is the top of a 3kw patio heater cut down to the right size.
I'm toying with the idea of using the 3kw element to heat the underside of the dome, but have concerns about being able to stop bio splashing up onto the element.

Nice Lino! Needs a bit of a clean though.
Oh ... diffuser's OK too.
-
I knew you say the floor needs cleaning and you're right it is a bid grubby.
-
Very nice, have you used it yet?
-
Blimey, it's a bit on the big side innit.
My diffuser's only 100mm diam yet generates a huge umbrella film of oil.
I'll see if I can get a piccy of it running.
PS. I think you may have created too much resistance with the oil feed design. I have a 22mm full bore driven by a Tam105 that only just copes.

Here's the diffuser.

And here it is running with the splash guard in place, the film of oil extends out to the drum wall.

What if you blew hot air ... hair drier or paint stripper ... under the dome?

You'd probably end up with hot wvo everywhere.

I used it on my last batch, but had problems with the new thermostat only getting to 55° so couldn't it a true test.
Hopefully I'll give it a true tomorrow.

Be careful with that HUGE dish of a diffuser, water vapour might condense on the underside and drip back into the oil.

Oh ye of little ... arrange a couple of exhausts out of the dome near liquid level so you maintain the shape then.
-
Oh ye of little ...
How did you know it's little?

Not if I put the heating element under it.
