hi all
i got a no ip address and i have been trying tolink it to an IP address, its not working...
do i need to put in the details to the router only or the DVR unit only or both?
and what are the details? what do they look like? is it just my email addy and pass?
if i give someone who knows what there doing my user and pass for no ip can you give me the stuff needed for router or dvr unit please?
thanks guys
i have installed the sofware to my laptop that it needs as the IP is dynamic, apparantly the laptop needs to stay live for the software to find the new IP if it chnages so URL always works.

Many routers have the ability to add dyndns details. Some support many versions, some only a couple.
It looks like your home hub 2 certainly suports dyndns, whether it supports no-ip I dont know
Follow this thread http://forums.thinkbroadband.com/bt/3767108-homehub-2-and-dyndns.html for how to set up dynamic dns on the home hub 2
Once your router is automatically updating the servers with your IP address, you dont need to have any computer running the client program to update them.

I have just used no-ip.com to set up an ip camera it is free.
I set it up on their site. Then I set the port of the camera to 88 and used port forwarding on the router.
I can now access the camera with

I am no expert but it worked for me. (Name is not the name I used,)

And just to dredge this old post back, as it hits the top on Google.
If you want to use multiple DynDNS domains and have the Home Hub 2 update them all, there is a way to do it,
Buy a Type B.
Works perfectly there, doesn't work on a Type A.
Wow, that's taken a long time to get to the bottom of all that!
dont worry i found it on mine my router is type A but not sure what next doors is for cameras?
