Title: Life and times of a veg oil filterer...
Post by: Rotary-Motion on September 16, 2013, 09:10:37 PM
been useing these sheets for years now and this is how i clean them each time, wait till i get about 8 then do the clean on them outside in a bucket hot saopy water,  then when somewhere near chuck them in the washing machine, the secret to getting them like new each time is besides adding the normal washing powder, squirt a good dose of FAIRY liquid in the door on them, must be FAIRY as no other cheap alternative works for me!

this is how it looks after a filtering session and taken out the clamptop

hold one end of the sheet and with the other hand sqeeze tight and drop all crap into bucket

rinsed out in a bucket of hot soap FAIRY liquid water

some i cleaned earlier...

Very impressive do you iron them as well
How many litres do you typically get through before they need washing?

Nah, come on RM, we need more detail.  Copies of the correspondence would, I'm sure, be of immense interest to your loyal readers.

Did you tell him you spend most of your spare time collecting and filtering waste cooking oil?  Just think what a disappointment that would be to him ... he's probably on another forum somewhere badmouthing you!

can everyone stop hijacking my thread, i never do this muhahaha/

ok back to it, heres another example of what we come across in oil and filtering, these ol bed sheets do really work well as a first filter medium...

this one is very loose fatty mush, temps outside are at 11c ambient

pull off excess into the rubbish bucket then rinse through the hot soapy water

I want to know how a thread about RM's love life (or lack of it) ended up containing photos of oil filtering ... or is there a connection I'm missing?
