Title: 100 batchers
Post by: Tony on August 17, 2013, 10:02:54 PM
Go on, how many batches do you think you've done?

Not far off my 100th batch now me - is there a 100 batchers club?

Exactly,
spot on,

One batch.

I do 180L batches and have been doing so for around 5 years,
so I'm well under the 100 batch mark.

Well I've been at it over six years now (just renewed my waste carriers licence for the second time) and in the old days I only made 100 litres at a time (300 now) so I must be in the 100+ club.

Of course veg counts, we can't not include you just because you don't sniff the meths, you're mad enough without meth fumes.

This thread made me think about how much cash I've saved over the years by running svo and wvo. Turns out I should have enough cash lying around to buy a brand new Tranny minibus and have enough cash leftover for a tank of fuel.

Funnily enough it's not like that, in reality veg has stopped me from going broke just from doing the commute to work. When I first started veg the gap between bills and cash coming in was painful and a great big chunk of that was fuel, would probably still be the same (or worse given today's prices) if I was buying diesel now.

No idea how many batches it is though, these days I only gravity filter in 20 llitre barrels, and even that's a step up from my original j-cloth lined sieve hanging over an old bucket setup, ah memories :o
