Is it only on part of the screen or the whole lot?

You could try applying pressure at the top of the LCD where the tabs attach, sometimes they age and detach and the picture gets soft/corrupted.

95% of the time this type of fault is caused by a faulty LDVS panel [T con ]

This is the small PCB located at the top center of the screen
covered with a screening can when removing it use extreme
care with the ribbon cable / cables going to the screen

You cannot repair a LDVS panel they are available on the net
google the model number and the numbers on the panel
and you will find one

when removing the t con the ribbon cable sockets have a small tab
that lifts up to release the ribbon cable

You can't repair but you can make the problem go away, by packing the connection so it is held tightly to the screen by the frame.

Tony the fault RM is referring  to is caused by LDVS panel
not the connections on the top of the display panel
This is the panel in question
