Title: How do I fit a pressure gauge to a 10" filter housing
Post by: Rossey on July 03, 2013, 07:04:14 AM
How do I screw a pressure gauge into the housing?
I know it replaces the button, but do you thread the plastic with a tap or fit a nut underneath?
What size thread should the gauge have?

The filter housings I have, have got a thread in the hole. Just pull the button out, and wind the gauge in. There was a fair bit of swarf from cutting the thread in mine.

You need to stay under the filter inserts pressure rating, those that Paddy sells will take a lot higher than most others

i left my button in and drilled the houseing slightly smaller than the thread and wound it in lineing it up as you screw down. done easy.

make sure its on pressure side!
