I was thinking of adding a FPHE to the Delica to warm the fuel in winter, before the 10" filter. But would coolant temp raise the biodiesel to a level where the spun wound element would disintegrate? I have to confess I don't know what temp they are good up to.

Mine are the clear bowl type and says 45c max

Heated filter on the Disco can get up to 60+°C on occassions. Hottest temperatures seem to occur after a long run when the car's stopped for a little while and then started again.
I know you went to a lot of trouble putting the filter in, but have you considered fitting a LR type housing ... filters are around £2.50 each to replace.

The landrover filters that are £2 are the brit part ones, which, so far as ive been able to tell, are possibly not great at elevated temps?
The 'heated' ones are made by bosch and come in at £5.50 ex from paddocks.

I've not had any trouble with the Paddocks ones.

Hi Tony
I have a couple of FPHE's you can have, got some other buts too that may help your truck run better.
Also got a decent CCTV capture card with proper software for you.
