I need a nut, for a immersion heater, and two thermometers, suitable for a processor. I fancy the electronic type, with a digital readout, and a probe that pushes into a pocket in the side of the processor.
Any particular place that people get these from, or is it just a case of see what is on Ebay?
Heater flanges seem cheap enough, at a couple of quid, the nuts seem expensive, at around £20. Tightening a round flange looks a bit of a hassle. I don't really want to have to solder the flange onto the drum, just want to put the nut on the inside, and tighten it up. Not that I can't do it, I just want it done quick as. I don't really care if it leaks a little bit. I just need a few batches out, then I can do something about it if needs be.
The thermometers I fancy are 30 day delivery form China, way to long.

For twenty quid I'd have a bash at soldering the flange. Don't forget you could solder the flange to a bit of steel tube, wrap it in wet rags and then weld the tube to the processor if that's any easier for you.
Re the temperature readout. It's either cheap on a long delivery from China or expensive with short delivery from the UK. Continual checking of ebay might bring up something ... moral ... good things come to those who wait.

Huntsman on VOD does a PID setup with thermocouple and SSR for a good price,
quick shipping from the UK as well.

That's true. By the time I go and buy a nut, it will be the same price to buy a solder stick and a flange. Might just poke a cooking thermometer in the pocket, till I get a electric one.
