Title: 12 volt and 240 volt camper charging unit - need help

hi guys

does anyone know how to check this out, it all lights up when 240v is on but has stopped giving out the 12 volt

the board looks abit burnt round 2 resisters and the back of a chip

According to here there should be two fuses in it

The resistors look to be 2x 390R in parallel should reed 195R across them
are they coded orange white red

This  is a common fault with these power supplys when they get a power surge .you can buy the power board but may be more than you paid for the whole unit.

i hear ya there, its either a quick fix or dump and buy another....

yeas knighty i think you maybe right, it is an old style model, new one has a fan for cooling etc... but prices on the bay are way over 20 more like 70/80

just keep searching for "12v charger" and only look at auctions, then sort them by ending soonest

 got a 30amp smart charger, with 3 independent 10amp channels so it can charge 3 batteries separately without joining them together

I'm going to connect 1 to the engine battery (10amp charge) and 2 to the house batteries (20amp charge) :-)

I have a bad hip at the moment and it is giving me some stick
Something to do with IT band syndrome and inflamed bursitis

I will just have to Waite and see if the physio can get me sorted out in time

would be good to see you chapper, would you be staying/camping? you travelling far?

never heard of some of those words but i hope that therapy works out for you.

For some reason I think it's going to start Friday and be drawn out (in a long painfull way) until Sunday afternoon.

Was going to offer to bring bacon and suppplies this year since you did last year Mark, but now I'm wondering if I shouldn't just bring a potato peeler for slices of roast womble instead  :o

Bring the bacon, you can do the Womble version of pigs in blankets.

Bought a Labcraft TP2 split charger today, its fitted in its own battery box, it was the box i wanted  :)
