I have just moved my whole system to 10 miles down the road,
so I want to pick your brains as to how you do things, how you ju99le your time.
My plan is to have a four tank setup.
Tank 1 for raw oil storage and drying.
Tank 2 for gly wash, reaction and post reaction prewash.
Tank 3 for washing, drying.
Tank 4 for finished fuel.
This way I can do the whole process in one day, well each stage in one day by moving each stage along to the next,
so one batch from start to finish in four days (or four visits),
each visit ending with finished fuel.
I know this will mean having over 700L in the system, slowly going through the stages, but over time I hope to get to this point.
It'll also give me a buffer for if oil supplies dry up for a while.
So does anyone else do it this way, will it work ?

My only concern would be avoiding any stage where you drain glycerol and then have to leave it, be that post reaction or glyc prewash from the potential plugging point of view.

That's why I need to do the post reaction prewash before leaving it for any time.
The way I see it is as there will be meths in there it shouldn't freze in the winter either.

Use KoH just to be sure.
Or better still move into the shed.

Get yourself an old oil fired boiler from eBay. Run the oil through the water side of the water jacket as a very rapid heater.
