Title: Economy seven
Post by: Tony on April 19, 2013, 10:52:18 AM
Was just wondering - is it worth getting an economy seven meter installed and doing all the batch electrical heating/demething overnight?

That's what Jules does, but it all depends on what your day usage is.

If you want to know for sure, get yourself one of those OWL (etc) power meters, where you can set the rates - set it up for economy 7 rates, and then compare with your bill.

Be careful the buggers put the day time rates up to claw back as much as they can.

That's what I suspected might be the case.  Crafty sods.

I have economy seven and my day rates are a fair bit higher than standard, though it does reduce a little once a set number of Kwh have been used.

To take full advantage you and the family need to become nocturnal.
