Title: What would these be - "A selection of 6 gallon domed milking jars"?
Post by: julianf on March 22, 2013, 05:54:52 PM
Ive just got a message posted on my local freecycle -

"We have several [about 20] old milking machine jars [pyrex glass] that have domed tops and bottom outlets."

Ive asked the person for more info, but is anyone here familiar with what they may be?

Im thinking (with the help of a magnetic stirrer) a methoxide mixer, or maybe something else?

(which makes a mess of my plan of using a magnetic flea in them)

Talking to Mark a while ago, he was after a glass section to put on his processor drain.  They're possibly a little big but might do what he wants.

MARK ... you're on line ... pay attention man!

You called.

They would do the job I was thinking about, but, just a little to big,
I was thinking of something that holds less than 500ml.

It's stainless steel, about 11" tall and 4" round, and you're going to want one..............

The top photo has been scwashed somehow.

It's a strainer, ideal for straining WVO before pumping.

It's surprising how quickly you can go off people.

Looks a bit grubby Mark, like it's covered in diesel bug. I'll happily come and take it away for decontamination :)

Just reinforcing my Womble credentials, that all.

Once touched by a Womble no decontamination is needed.
