That's standard practice for car breakers on eBay though.

I do understand many of his other frustrations.  Getting mates to bid items up, pulling the auction if it's not achieving as much as they wanted to get etc.

Frustrating yes but it is the nature of the beast, and any sellers having items bid up run the risk of being stuck with a mate winning it and having to pay the fee's. At the end of the day if you set your price limit and it exceeds it then you simply don't buy it. It doesn't matter how the price was reached.

on occasion i have seen prices reach more than i could buy in the shops. this can be that people like things posted to there door...
